What is fiber art? According to Diane Hamburg, one of the featured artists, “fiber art includes anything created using fibers from animals or plants, plus synthetic

materials”. She explained that, “today’s fiber artists transform and contemporize tradidional weaving, quilting, and felting, using mixed media techniques”.

The Historic Fernandina Business Association is proud to present SOUNDS ON CENTRE. Amelia Arts Academy has teamed up with DANCE ALIVE! National Ballet company for a spectacular production of the Nutcracker Dec. 5. The Academy will hold auditions for local boys and girls to have a chance to participate in this holiday tradition. Casting will be for boys and girls, aged 7 - 18. Time For Tots at the Bryceville Branch Library, 7280 Motes Road, Bryceville.  Every Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:00 am.  If you are looking for a program that will enhance your toddler’s skills and abilities by introducing them to concepts such as numbers, shapes, letters  and encouraging verbal skills through music, songs, finger plays, rhymes, poems, and other age appropriate activities, then “Time for Tots” is the program for you!

The Bryceville Branch Library is launching a weight loss challenge for individuals who are interested in losing weight! The weight loss program will run for 12 weeks. Each week a new topic will be covered. Topics include the importance of protein, maximizing your metabolism, good and bad fats and carbs and many more! Participants will receive their own personal coach, body analysis, group support and much more! A one time registration fee of $29.00 will be collected at the first meeting.
